Drive Connectors : SAMSUNG SW-252S CD-R/RW Drive User's Guide


There are 5 connectors at the back of the drive unit. There are audio connectors, Master/Slave select connector, E-IDE interface connector and power connector.

  1. Digital Line Out

    The drive has a 2-pin connector for digital line out in the rear drive as shown below.
    NOTE: This connector may not be supported by Dell

  2. Analog Audio Line Output Connector

    The drive has a 4-pin male connector for audio line output as shown below.

  4. E-IDE Master/Slave Select Connector

    The drive has a 6-pin double row male connector for Master/Slave in the rear of the drive as shown below.

  5. cable select: pin 1, pin 4 short
    slave: pin 2, pin 5 short
    master: pin 3, pin 6 short
  6. E-IDE(ATAPI) interface Connector (ATA/ATAPI-4)

    The drive has a 40-pin unshielded, shrouded, keyed, male E-IDE interface connector as shown below.
