There are 5 connectors at the back of the drive unit. There are combined
digital audio connector, audio connector, master/slave select connector,
ATAPI interface connector and power connector.
Digital Audio Connector
The bare (internal) drive has a 2-pin connector for digital line
out in the rear drive as shown below.
NOTE: This connector may not be supported by Dell
Audio Connector
The bare (internal) drive has a 4-pin male connector for audio line
output as shown below.
Master/Slave Select Connector
The bare (internal) drive has a 6-pin double-row male connector
for master/slave in the rear of the drive as shown below.
ATAPI Interface Connector (ATA/ATAPI-5)
The bare (internal) drive has ATAPI interface connector, which consists
of a 40-pin unshielded, shrouded, keyed, male ATAPI interface connector
as shown below.
Power Connector
The bare (internal) drive has a 4-pin shrouded, keyed, male power
connector as shown below.
