Jumper settings

When the drive is connected to the host bus, Device address setting is necessary to configure a drive as Device 0(Master) or Device 1(Slave). The device address setting is established between drives on the interface connector by using jumper 0-2 (pin #A, B, D). The Device 0(Master) is assigned to drive address 0, and the Device 1(Slave) is assigned to drive address 1.

Recommended type of jumper socket
Vender: IRISO ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.  Vender Part Number: 9721HJ-GF or Equivalent


Jumper locations

(1) Device 0  : If all of pins A, B, D is open, the drive is Device 0 (Master or single).

(2) Device 1 : If jumper position A-B(marked) is used, the drive is Device 1 (Slave).

(3) CSEL Selection: If jumper position A-C(marked) is used, the device address setting is determined by the condition of CSEL signal (Pin #28).
