Microfilter Installation: Cisco 605D Personal PCI ADSL Adapter Card

To install in-line microfilters, perform the following steps:

1. Determine the number of telephones used in the home.
   You should install a microfilter at each home telephone. Three microfilters are provided with the Cisco 605D ADSL adapter card. If you require additional microfilters, contact Dell at 1-800-BUY DELL.
2. Unplug the telephone line at the wall outlet, and plug the line into the connector labeled "PHONE" on the microfilter.
3. Plug the 3-inch telephone patch cord in to the connector labeled "WALL" on the microfilter. Plug the other end of the patch cord into the telephone wall outlet.
4. Install a microfilter at each home telephone.
5. Verify that your telephone service works. If your telephone service does not work, remove the microfilters and contact your local telephone company.

NOTE: A wall-mount filter is included with the Cisco 605D adapter card for use with a wall-mount telephone. Replace the existing wall-mount plate with the wall-mount filter plate. Then reinstall your wall-mount telephone.
