Hyperterminal | Dial-Up Networking
Hyperterminal
- Click the Windows Start button and point to Programs, Accessories, and then Hyperterminal.
- Double-click Hyperterm.exe. You are now in the program and should be viewing the "Connection Description" box.
- Type in a name for the connections and select an icon.
- Select the country code from the menu.
- Type in the area code and phone number.
- Select the modem titled "U.S. Robotics 56K Voice PCI".
- Click Dial to begin dialing for a connection

Dial-Up Networking
- Double-click the My Computer icon.
- Double-click the Dial Up Networking icon.
- Double-click the Make New Connection icon.
- Type in a name for the connection
- Select the modem titled "U.S. Robotics 56K Voice PCI". (your modem is pre-configured on installation and in most cases will not need any adjustment)
- Click Next.
- Type in the area code and phone number.
- Select the country code from the menu.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Double-click on the connection name typed in during step 4.
- Insure the user name is correct (enter and delete as needed).
- Type in the password.
- Click Connect.
